Alexander Shostak
Alex was born in Minsk, Belarus where he began training
in artistic gymnastics at the age of six. He became a
member of the Belarus National team in 1992. As a member
he competed in the 1996 Olympic Games, where his team
placed fourth and in 2000, where they placed eighth.
During his time on the team from 1992-2000, he traveled the
world comepeting in multiple international tournaments.

Alex holds a B.S. degree from the Academy of Physical
Education and Sports of the Republic of Belarus. He has
coached Girls Artistic, Boys Artistic, and Trampoline &
Tumbling. Over the last two years, five members of the
Boys Team have received college scholarships. This is more
Than any other coach in the country.

His education, philosophy, character and experience make
him a winning coach and one we are proud to have at MGA.













Alena Shostak
Alena was a member of two Belarus National teams, gymnastics
(two years) and freestyle skiing (four years). She attended
the Olympic College of Republic Team Reserve and the Academy
of Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Belarus.
She has an extensive educational background and holds a B.S.
degree in Physical Education and Coaching. She taught pre-
school physical education for three years in Belarus.

Alena has coached Girls Artistic and Trampoline & Tumbling
for 10 years. Her T&T team has won 30 National Medals
(first to third place) in the last four years. Her experience
and knowledge make her an essential part of the MGA Team.

Alex and Alena have two children. Alexi, 10, and Katia, 3.
